Koonung Heights Cricket Club is at the forefront of Veterans’ cricket in Victoria.

 

KHCC has had Veterans' cricket teams for the past 12 seasons. Since our reintroduction into the Veterans’ program in 2011/12 in the Over 40’s competition after not playing since our Over 40’s Premiership in 1998/99, KHCC has won 2 Over 40’s Premierships and been Runner-Up in another 2. We have also won 4 Over 50’s Premierships and been Runner-Up in another 2 in just 9 seasons. Many of our players are regular selections in representative teams.

 

The season comprises 7 matches on every second Sunday plus Finals on a mixture of turf and synthetic pitches. The season commences in mid-October with 5 games prior to Christmas and 2 games post-Christmas plus Finals, with the season done and dusted by the end of February.

 

KHCC Veterans are welcome to join senior training on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as a number of our players also play senior cricket on a Saturday, but training is not compulsory. Our home ground is at Greythorn Park in North Balwyn.

Veterans’ cricket at KHCC is both fun and competitive, providing the perfect environment to keep up the skills or rediscover old skills whilst keeping fit and enjoying the company of your teammates. Whilst we want to be competitive and, like all cricketers, we aim to win, we ensure that during games and over the course of a season, all players get many opportunities to test their talents.
